An afternoon in Austin with gita

Summer brewery edition

With over 50 breweries in and around Austin, it’s no surprise that it has become a hotspot for craft beer lovers looking to expand their palette. While discovering unique beer is a major part of it, adding gita to the experience can turn a casual trip to the brewery into a memory-making day out.

With its 40 pound carrying capacity, hands-free following ability, and custom IGLOO® cooler, gita the following robot is the ultimate brewery sidekick. We’ve pulled together a few top favorites around Austin:

Blue Owl Brewing

2400 E Cesar Chavez St #300

This all-sour brewery is located just east of downtown Austin.

Swing by La Barbecue right nearby (2401 E Cesar Chavez St.) on your way home. We recommend putting in your to-go order online ahead of time to avoid the ever present long lines and use gita to bring home a tasty BBQ dinner for the whole family.

The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co.

1305 W Oltorf St

This warehouse-like beer garden/brewpub pairs house microbrews with pub bites such as pizza & sandwiches.

After enjoying some local beer and pizza, head over to South Austin Neighborhood Park less than a mile away. Pack gita up with some fun lawn games like horseshoes or bocce and keep the fun going.

Jester King Brewery

13187 Fitzhugh Rd

With 165 acres of land, a delicious food menu and impressive beer, wine, and cider offering you could easily spend a whole day enjoying the amenities and beautiful landscape of Jester King Brewery (which is known as being not just one of the best breweries in Austin, but one of the best in the whole country).

After having some sips and snacks, grab a beer to-to and take a nice long stroll along the half-mile loop where you can see their vineyard, gorgeous ranch panoramas, and even meet the brewery goats.

gita can follow along, or you can leave it at the entrance, simply lock it using the mygita app to keep everything secure inside.

Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom & Lazarus Brewing

1701 E 6th St & 1902 E 6th St

On East 6th street in Austin, you can find two top-rated breweries just a block away from one another. Zilker is a craft brewery and taproom focusing on the American Belgo-style, and then there’s Lazarus, a cozy brewery for house beers, root beer, kombucha, espresso & house tacos.

Right in the middle of these two breweries (1813 E 6th St) is Lefty’s Brick Bar, a neighborhood patio bar and perfect gita pit stop. Have a snack on the patio with gita by your side streaming your favorite playlist through its Bluetooth® speaker.

Pinthouse Pizza

4729 Burnet Rd

This is a British-pub-inspired spot with elaborate made-by-hand pizzas, plus a house brewery specializing in hoppy beers.

Pop across the street to Fluff Meringues & More and pick up a fancy party plate for dessert.
